Data Confidentiality and Security: Since the formation of Infocap in 2010, we have unfailingly adhered to strict system security requirements and developed secure solutions for all branches of the U.S. military (involving NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and other DoD networks), Intelligence agencies (requiring Top Secret and TS/SCI clearance) and Federal and state civilian agencies (involving PII, PHI, and other classifications of data). Infocap routinely performs work in environments requiring compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (notably NIST 800-171 created to address confidentiality concerns for federal data that resides in non-federal information systems and organizations) as well as FISMA and FedRAMP. Infocap initiates the security and data confidentiality compliance effort by documenting the required standards and the security posture of the host IT infrastructure. Infocap has deployed TotalAgility and other Kofax software to on-premise servers (both physical and virtual) as well as hosted cloud environments within FedRAMP compliant environments necessary to achieve the Authority to Operate (ATO). Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Affordable Care Act (ACA) – Serco (ACA Eligibility Support program prime contractor) first added Infocap to the program team in 2016 to modernize the program's Kofax KC/KTM environment. In 2021, Infocap migrated Kofax Capture (KC) and Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) to the Kofax TotalAgility (KTA) platform, playing a pivotal role in winning the new contract in 2022 as the program's exclusive Document Automation partner. The result of Infocap’s work has been continuous year-over-year efficiency gains for the program, delivered through our deep understanding of government processes, unparalleled experience working with Kofax/Tungsten Automation products, and broad expertise in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). The streamlined, automated processes that characterize the ACA Eligibility Support program today ensure that consumers receive faster resolution, while accommodating more than double the document volumes, at significantly lower cost to the government.
Covered California - Infocap deployed Kofax TotalAgility (KTA), then built the Document Imaging and Verification System (DIVS) on that platform. DIVS was designed to improve the quality, speed, and efficiency of consumer eligibility verification, while also minimizing the negative impacts of cyclical or seasonal workloads. Since its initial implementation of DIVS in 2018, Covered California has increased verification automation by a factor of 700%. DIVS has drastically reduced response times for the consumer from 100 days to under 72 hours, with ongoing improvement in both enrollment success and verification efficiency.

CMS Eligibility Appeals Operations Support (EAOS) - Infocap migrated the EAOS front-end KC/KTM capture systems from on-prem into the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment, credited as the first cloud migratios for the Kofax software environment, today a differentiating core competency of Infocap.
Veterans Benefit Management System (VBMS) - Infocap developed a comprehensive solution for digitizing Veteran disability claims forms and supporting documents, with a taxonomy covering 372 document types. In connection with developing the front-end automated capture and OCR system, Infocap developed a custom three-tier secured connection between the front-end distributed capture and the VBMS FileNet backend Electronic Document Management Repository, which met all FIPS 140-2 security requirements and more.
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) - Infocap deployed Kofax Capture, Kofax Capture Network Server, Kofax Import Connector, Kofax Transformation Modules, KTM in a highly-available (HA) enterprise configuration to support a non-centralized, advanced capture solution.
U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) - Infocap designed and implemented distributed capture environment leveraging Dell PowerEdge servers, PowerVault NAS Gateway, Storage Manager / SAN, and PowerConnect switches. VMware ESXi was used to create a highly available (HA), high-security infrastructure for hosting the Kofax Capture (KC), Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) and Kofax Capture Network Server (KCNS) environment, offering a geographically-distributed capture, transformation, and archival processing for both NARA and its government-agency customers. We also implemented a document processing solution for military health and service records, supporting a custom export connector to send the resulting documents and metadata to the VA VBMS Content Management Service using web services using SAML-based authentication.
Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) - Infocap provided on-site Kofax software Health Check assessment in which a senior engineer working closely with NCIS staff reviewed NCIS’ Kofax environment and prepared a report with observations and recommendations. We implemented Kofax enterprise features, installed and upgraded NCIS’ Kofax software environments, including both non-production and NIPR/SIPR production environments. Our team worked with technical staff to integrate MicroFocus Content Manager and Kofax's reporting solution. Infocap currently provides maintenance and support of NCIS’ Tungsten Automation classified and unclassified environments.
Knowledge Transfer, Training, and Curriculum Development
Infocap works closely with each customer to ensure knowledge transfer is delivered throughout the design, development, and implementation of TotalAgility solutions. Infocap trains client operations staff or existing training personnel to deliver "Train-the-Trainer" resources, as well as user and administrator training. Our approach ensures trainers understand the new capabilities for document processing, configured workflows, quality control, and exception handling through user interfaces and dashboards/reports.
Training materials are delivered in the customer’s preferred format, most often including user handbooks with PowerPoint slides, notes, example documents, quizzes, and other key materials. Hands-on exercises reinforce concepts, with emphasis placed on workflows and best practices. During solution deployment, Infocap trains IT staff on system administration, troubleshooting, analytics, and monitoring to proactively identify issues. Kofax Capture (KC) is a powerful production level capture platform. It captures information from virtually any source: scanner, multi-function printer, print stream, email, fax, web service or folder. Kofax Capture is available in an enterprise edition that offers high availability and disaster recovery for mission critical implementations.
Kofax Capture Network Server (KCNS) extends the capabilities of Kofax Capture by securely connecting Kofax Capture remote systems. Batches can be scanned and processed at the remote sites, and then uploaded to the central site for further processing and export. KCNS eliminates the common and costly practice of shipping documents from remote offices to a central site for processing. KCNS allows IT and IS managers to develop and implement enterprise-wide capture solutions.
Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) is an integrated platform of applications that streamline the transformation of different document types into structured electronic information. KTM automates manual, error-prone and expensive document sorting, filing and data entry processes with assisted and automated document classification, separation and data extraction. Kofax Analytics for Capture (KAFC) provides optimized out-of-the-box dashboards focused on elevating the visibility into the production scanning operations. More importantly, KAFC delivers interactive views into staff performance and recognition accuracy. Kofax Monitor (KM) monitors the technical components of Kofax systems, and provides real- time access to and assessment of system and network information. Kofax Virtual ReScan (VRS) automatically examines documents and applies the correct settings to deliver high quality scanned images. Using Kofax VRS Elite is like having a quality control operator working to clean all of your toughest documents and reveal your data. VRS reduces document preparation time and improves the readability of scanned images.
Kofax Front Office Server (KFS) allows the connecting of hardware platforms that customer-facing employees use. Allowing Kofax Capture processing to integrate directly into multifunction peripherals (MFPs) and network scanners to increase end-to-end processing times by reducing slow and costly physical document distribution, capturing the data and document images at or near the point of origin. KFS provides the classification, separation, extraction, and automation capabilities by leveraging Kofax Capture and Transformation Modules from a centralized or distributed architecture.
